Spring at Central is always a wonderful time of the year. There are events happening almost every day. Before you know it the year will be over.
When you look at the SAVE THE DATE section, you will see how busy the next two months are. Please don't hesitate to call in to the office if you need clarification on any of these upcoming trips.
Information for the later trips will come out in June.

Information for parents living in the former North Central optional attendance area:

As a result of the consolidation of Frontenac PS and First Avenue PS into Molly Brant ES, the Board of Trustees decided that the former optional attendance areas of Frontenac / First Avenue and Frontenac / Central North would be directed to Molly Brant ES.
Current Central students who live in this catchment are grandfathered with younger siblings considered as 'courtesy riders' on the bus.
New registrations from that catchment area will be directed to Molly Brant ES

If there are questions regarding the above, please call the school.

Ms Spanton's Class

Grade 1s are learning about the Local Community. Students made murals showings built and natural features in the community.

In math, Grade 1s have been writing number sentences from pictures.

Ms Watt's Class

The students in Ms Watt's Grade 4/5 class set a goal of doing 500 green acts through the week and recorded in their 'Earth Journals'. We ended up doing 563 acts altogether and celebrated with cake and ice cream.

Ms Watt's class practiced their math related facts and patterns while recording the date each day on the class calendar.

Mr. Cotton's class

The Grade 2 class is proud of their Earth Day posters that they completed as part of their Media Literacy Unit.

Ms L'Abbé's Class

The goal for World Earth Day 2018 is to end plastic pollution. Ms L'Abbé's class has been looking at ways to reduce the amount of plastic waste in our room. Students talked about the need to use reusable water and juice bottles, avoid using straws, use cloth bags and reusable containers for their lunches. Looks like out students really understand how to help keep our earth healthy!

Register for Kindergarten!
	The Limestone District School Board is committed to your child's development from Kindergarten to graduation. In Limestone Kindergarten classrooms, children are involved in many activities designed to help young learners explore, discover and grow. Children may start school in September if they turn age four (Junior Kindergarten) or age five (Senior Kindergarten) by December 31 of that year. Those students who are already enrolled in Junior Kindergarten do not need to register again. We welcome Junior and Senior Kindergarten students to our schools year-round, but we encourage parents and guardians to pre-register children in February for the upcoming school year. Parent Council Corner

Thanks to all who came out to the last licensed Adult Dance at Central! And particular thanks to The Minotaurs and to the many MANY people who helped make it happen. You know who you are.
